Overview

StratosTM HSSD is the first Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD) system in the world to employ Relative Scaling technology in Fire Detection. Relative Scaling is a revolutionary concept pioneered by AirSense Technology Limited (UK) in 1990, to ensure maximum detector sensitivity whilst minimising unwanted alarm rates.

Main Features

Prior to the invention of StratosTM HSSD, ASD systems were reliant on a manufacturer’s recommended settings for different environments. These generic recommendations are an attempt to suit an ASD system to the protected environment. It is a typically a best-effort approach to provide a degree of acceptable protection. Due to this, traditional ASD systems rely heavily on the commissioning engineer’s expertise in fine tuning the system sensitivity to suit a protected environment. Even with all these efforts, ASD systems are typically prone to unwanted alarms from naturally occurring ambient fluctuations within the protected space. The main challenge is in the balancing act of maintaining a high enough sensitivity while at the same time reducing and eliminating unwanted (nuisance) alarms. Automated Monitoring and Adapting to Ambient Fluctuations became the obvious solution to this problem.

To solve the “High Sensitivity and Unwanted Alarms” conundrum, the inventors of StratosTM HSSD used a new approach for sensitivity scaling called Relative Scaling. Relative Scaling is a concept that eliminates human guesswork from the equation. Relative Scaling works by means of an Artificial Intelligence that continuously monitors and makes automated adjustments to optimise the ASD’s sensitivity to exactly suit a protected environment. In addition, Relative Scaling is also capable of minimising unwanted alarms due to the A.I.’s decision-making algorithm. For almost 30 years, StratosTM HSSD system has been the only Relative Scaling ASD available. Only recently has there been a recognition from the general industry for this unconventional fire detection method, resulting in research into similar technologies by other manufacturers.

Even then, most other brands have only managed to produce an approximation of the StratosTM HSSD Relative Scaling capabilities or hybrid Relative-Absolute Scaling products. The secret of the StratosTM HSSD success lies in its proprietary Artificial Intelligence called ClassiFireTM. StratosTM HSSD’s Relative Scaling allows it to be deployed within ultra-clean environments as well as dirty and dusty spaces with equal efficacy. In recognition of this revolutionary technology, Airsense Technology Ltd, UK was awarded the Queen’s Award for Technological Achievement in 1999. This was the first time ever the award had been bestowed upon a fire detection product and/or manufacturer.

Overview

Liquid Leak Detection Systems provide early warning of leak damages a facility. These liquid leaks can be of water, corrosive chemicals like Acids, Solvents and Bases as well as Hydrocarbons like Oils and Lubricants. Liquid leak can be causes for fire hazards, equipment damage and risk to high-value assets. Early detection of liquid leaks is crucial to the uninterrupted operations of a business facility.

Main Features

TTK Digital Leak Detection System is a state-of-the-art detection system that provides fast detection and accurate location (±1m) of a water risk within a protected area. This is particularly important in identifying and minimising risks of short-circuits within a mission critical facility like datacentres. TTK Digital systems are modular with embedded microprocessors within each leak sensing cables, providing addressability for each individual cable. This enables TTK systems the unique ability to provide zoning by individual lengths of sensing cables. TTK systems are designed for full compatibility with industry standard monitoring protocols (e.g. JBUS / MODBUS).

Overview

Water Mist Fire Protection System is a type of fire extinguishing system that uses extremely fine water droplets propelled at relatively higher (than sprinkler) pressure to extinguish fires. Although the medium of suppression is water similar to a sprinkler system, Water Mist operates more like a gaseous clean agent suppression system in combating fires. Water Mist nozzles produce finely atomised water mist droplets and propel these droplets into a fire zone to cause a combination of Rapid Cooling, Localised Oxygen Depletion and Radiant Heat Absorption. Because of this three-pronged fire suppression capability, Water Mist fire suppression is sometimes referred to as a 3-Dimensional Fire Extinguishing System.

Main Features

The brand of water mist systems marketed by SenseTech Sdn Bhd is VID Fire-Kill of Denmark. Our Water Mist fire suppression solutions are engineered to suit a protected area based on appropriate Codes and individual requirements of our clients. VID Fire-Kill Water Mist systems are environmentally friendly and safe to use even in human occupied spaces.
